Hi all, again I tend to get better responses here , so here goes.
Would somebody be willing to help me how to use the apple keyboard? Its model number a1314.
here's what I know so far.
the very top write key shows or hides the phones keyboard.
Up and down arrow together: double tap
Left+up arrow or Right+up arrow: goes to the different items on the roder.
left or right arrow, flicks left or right on the screen
if in one of the settings on the roder, up and down arrow moves you back and forth
second key on the top left: decrees brightness
third key on the top left: increase brightness
Past that, I have no clue. dunno what the other buttens are. I can type easily enough on it.
I had sited help go and look at the manual, but everything written appears to apply to MAC, and there is nothing spasific to Voiceover
Just to give you two examples of things I've seen.
Escape gets you out of the desktop app. there is no desktop on a phone. I've heard that if you are viewing a full screen video, that this would make the video go back to normal screen.
there was no mention of f4 at all on the manual, but do some looking around, it seems as if f4 launches a launch pad. something about the launch pad on the doc? but this does not make any sense. there is no launch pad on my doc. just music, mail and safari. this brings me to the conclusion that the MAC doc is different than the iPhone doc. and this that they are talking about applies to MAC and not the iPhone. is this a correct assumption?
the command butten and option butten have something to do with modifier keys, so you are suppose to use this to do things in the menus? such as n for new, or s for save from within a word processing app on the MAC. again. how does all this work on an iPhone? would I need to have something like pages or Microsoft word installed in order to use these features?
the manual makes no use of iPhone or iOS, so I am curious if I baught the wrong keyboard?
Apple keyboard can be use as a bluetooth keyboard for IOS for sure But some of the quick
function from F1 to F12 on the pre-set apple keyboard might be set for Mac instead of
IOS.
You might just want to play around with all the function keys and see what you get. I
have pared so many different keyboard on my device that i can't remember exactly what
is the function keys for apple keyboard already, as i'm not using it right now.
Usually, the 'dock' that is refer to IOS is refers to the last role of your screen, the 4 apps
that does not change, even if you change the page on your home screen.
'Dock' on Mac is refers to, um, i suppose, it will be similar to system tray on Windows.
If you have quick nav on, you do not need to worry anything on the command + option +
FN key or such. The principle of Command Key is pretty much the same as the Control key
on the windows keyboard, that means, it is helpful for you to perform functions like
control A, C, X, V, etc.
To toggle quick nav setting, is left and right kerser press together. you can toggle quick
nav onn or off. Since you are fairly new with all these, i'll suggest you leave quick nav on
for now and familiarise with the function of the kersers and what it can do with the
combination of the kersers keys. .
Also, the escape key generally allows you to escape an app, or a task. again, it is
depending on what you want to do and what apps you are using. For some of the function
keys might perform different when you are say, on safari compare to if you are on other
apps. I hope i answer some of your questions.
I have to turn quickNav off to type, so I know how to turn that on and off. It sounds like there is a lot to learn.
Is this for your iPhone or a Mac computer? One thing you can do either way is press control options K to bring up keyboard help, and then start pressing any key or key combination to figure out what it does.
its for my iPhone. ok, so which keys is the ctrl and options keys? and then how to I get out of it once done?
On the left side of the keyboard in the bottom row, you will feel the spacebar in the middle. TO the left of space is command, options, control, and function, which is the key furthest to the left. Your control and options keys are the middle 2 of those 4. Press escape to stop help, which is the key in the upper left corner, just like with Windows.
well the 4 button is for you to go to things on your phone faster. such as facebook.
that is what i can rember.
every Bluetooth keyboard is different, so I would suggest googling the specific model you have to see if that comes up with anything useful.
for instance, I have the Zagg Folio Bluetooth keyboard so would not be able to help you because you don't have the same model I do.
I have. when I do all it comes up with is stuff for help for the MAC chels.
No where does it mention the iPhone.
yet I can type on it with my phone.
